Pet Transportation
2025-08-28
We deeply understand that pets are an indispensable member of your family, so we are committed to providing safe and comfortable air transportation services for your furry children. Whether you are relocating for work, moving house, or traveling, we ensure your pet arrives at the destination smoothly.
1. Shipping Methods
(1) Pet Accompanied Baggage Shipping
If you and your pet are traveling on the same flight, the pet can be checked in as baggage and travel with you to the destination. The biggest advantage of this method is that upon arrival, you can pick up your pet directly at the baggage claim with your baggage ticket without paying extra pickup fees, allowing you to reunite with your pet immediately.
(2) Pet Cargo Shipping
When you and your pet cannot take the same flight, pet cargo shipping is an ideal choice. The pet will travel alone on the flight to the destination. Upon arrival, the pet owner must present their original ID card at the airport cargo terminal to pick up the pet and pay a pickup fee of about 120 yuan. This method is highly flexible and can accommodate different customer travel arrangements.
2. Processing Procedures
(1) Advance Planning
- Contact us: Notify us of your pet shipping needs at least 5 days in advance, providing detailed information such as the pet's species, weight, and health status, so we can tailor a suitable shipping plan for you.
- Booking space: Book the space 3 days in advance (for pet cargo shipping, notify customer service 2 days in advance) to ensure sufficient oxygen cabin space for the pet. When booking, provide a scanned copy of the owner's ID card (front and back) and the ticket number (for accompanied baggage shipping).
(2) Document Preparation
- Domestic transport: Provide an "Animal Quarantine Certificate" issued by the Animal Health Supervision Institute, with the institute's quarantine seal on the document; when shipping dogs, also provide a small animal vaccination certificate.
- International transport: Requires the "Animal Health Certificate" issued by the Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau of the People's Republic of China, valid export/import documents issued by relevant government authorities, valid health declarations and rabies vaccination certificates issued by relevant authorities, and properly prepared entry permits, health declarations, and vaccination certificates required by the destination countries covered in the itinerary, as well as any additional special documents required by the governments of the countries covered in the itinerary.
(3) Pet Carrier Preparation
- We do not provide pet carriers; you need to prepare an airline-approved pet shipping carrier yourself. The carrier must be lockable to prevent the pet from escaping and must prevent leakage of pet waste.
- The pet carrier must be made of sturdy materials with a fixed top, have ventilation on at least three sides, and the door must be made of metal with all accessories properly installed. The door must have a secure locking device and a fixed handle or raised edge.
- Ventilation openings should be metal grilles firmly installed on the pet carrier; if the ventilation openings are non-metallic, they must be round or other shaped breathable holes.
- The pet carrier must be spacious enough to allow the pet to stand, sit, turn around, and lie down in a natural posture. The bottom of the carrier must be stable and non-slip. Dimensions must comply with the International Air Transport Association's live animal regulations: length = length from nose tip to base of tail + 1/2 the height from elbow to ground; width = pet's maximum width × 2; height = height from ground to ear tip or top of head (ears must not touch the top of the carrier when the pet is standing naturally).
- For pet carriers with wheels, the wheels must be fixed or removed in advance to prevent sliding during transport. The pet carrier must be securely packaged: for medium carriers, at least two horizontal and two vertical straps on the top and bottom surfaces in a grid pattern; for large carriers, at least three horizontal and three vertical straps on the top and bottom surfaces, evenly distributed. To avoid disturbing the pet by flipping the carrier during packaging, no horizontal straps should be applied on the sides; all side straps must be vertical and parallel.
- The inside of the pet carrier must be lined with absorbent padding such as towels, blankets, or pet diapers to prevent pet waste from contaminating other luggage.
(4) Pet Delivery
- Accompanied baggage shipping: Complete the check-in procedures 2 hours before boarding on the day of the flight. You must bring the pet, pet carrier, relevant documents, and the signed "Pet Transportation Agreement" to the airport check-in counter.
- Cargo shipping: Deliver the pet to the airport 3 hours before boarding on the day of the flight, or the night before to the airport receiving point. Ensure the pet is fasted and has urinated before delivery to reduce discomfort during transit.
(5) Destination Pickup
- Accompanied baggage shipping: Upon arrival, you can pick up your pet directly at the baggage claim with your baggage ticket.
- Cargo shipping: The pet owner must present their original ID card to pick up the pet at the airport cargo terminal 2-3 hours after the plane lands.
3. Fee Standards
(1) Accompanied Baggage Shipping
Starting from 500 yuan for a dog plus carrier weighing 5 kg. This fee includes quarantine handling, space booking, air freight, and packaging fees. Door-to-door pickup and carrier costs are charged separately.
(2) Cargo Shipping
Starting from 550 yuan for a pet plus carrier within 5 kg. Specific fees may vary depending on pet weight, transport distance, and other factors.
4. Notes
- Each passenger can check in up to 2 pets (if checking in two pets, they must be packaged separately; international flights must comply with the destination country's regulations, with only one pet allowed when entering China).
- No one-stop transfer service for pet transit is provided. Passengers taking connecting flights who need to ship pets can only arrange shipping for a single direct flight segment. Upon arrival at the transfer station, they must pick up the pet and handle transfer shipping procedures. Pets can be shipped to the final destination only on direct flights.
- The total weight of the pet, carrier, and food and water inside the carrier must not exceed 32 kg.
- The following situations cannot be handled for pet transportation:
- The live animals checked in by passengers are among the animals prohibited by the state.
- Animals showing symptoms of infectious diseases or suspected carriers of infectious diseases (such as poultry from areas with avian influenza outbreaks).
- Pets less than eight weeks old.
- Pregnant pets or pets that have given birth within 48 hours before the flight departure.
- Pets that are anxious, delicate, weak, sensitive to high temperatures and high altitudes, or cannot stay in the pet carrier for a long time.
- Pets that have taken sedatives or sleeping pills.
- Pets that emit a foul or unbearable pungent odor.
- Pets suffering from ear, nose, and throat diseases, cardiovascular system diseases, cerebrovascular system diseases, respiratory system diseases, digestive system diseases, or have undergone surgery within 48 hours.
- The pet flight transport preparations required from the passenger have not been completed.
- All pets unsuitable for air travel and their hybrid breeds, such as dangerous dogs and their hybrids (including fighting dogs and other aggressive fierce dogs, mixed breeds with fierce dog bloodlines, and very large dogs that can cause visual fear); flat-nosed dogs or cats; dog breeds unsuitable for high temperature and high altitude environments (such as Samoyeds), etc.
- Due to the aircraft type of the flight, it is not suitable for transporting live animals (such as no suitable cargo compartment available).
- Does not comply with the relevant regulations for animal transport in the departure, transit, or destination cities or countries.
- Passengers do not accept our pet transport conditions or requirements for pet carriers, refuse to fill out the pet transport agreement, or have not prepared the required documents for check-in.
